Write Your Way Free of 2020
20 days to clear your mental decks of this year-from-hell
#buhbye2020
If you’re anything like me, you’ve had it with this dumpster-fire of a year.
And even though you haven’t given up (because we just can’t can we?), I imagine you’re more than ready to say goodbye to it, and “don’t let the door hit you on the way out”.
That’s what we’ll do in Write Your Way Free of 2020
In this 20 day program you’ll create a symbolic wrap-up to this hellfire year, clear your mental decks, find ways to release what’s dragging you down, and make space for more of what you want in the coming year.
In Write Your Way Free of 2020 you’ll …
Take stock, review, and release all that you can.
Get quiet, simmer, and start looking at what you want to bring along into the new year.
Start thinking about what you want, and what you need to do, change, or be in order to make it happen.
Wrap up this year, and mindfully move on into 2021.
We start on December 9th,
and end with a group call
on December 29th…
… but you can start at any time, go at your own pace,
and catch the group call as a recording if you prefer.
Here’s what you’ll get:
A video intro/pep-talk/roadmap – I’ll share insights on how to approach the 20 days, ways to dive in deeply with your writing, and how to deal with any stuckness you might encounter.
Rich prompts and inspiration delivered straight to your email in-box – Each email will contain some combination of prompts, questions, quotes, music links, and/or short readings, all designed to inspire inquiry, create space to simmer, and encourage exploration.
A live hour-long call on December 29th at 6:30pm where we’ll gather together for bonus prompts, a release “ceremony”, and a Q&A. I’ll also share ideas on how you can keep working your writing-inquiry-muscles to invite even more freedom into your life.
Here’s what you WON’T get:
A Facebook group – This isn’t a community based program where you share, process with others, or "perform". Yes, there’s a Zoom call at the end, but you can participate as much or as little as you’d like on that.
Goal setting encouragement – There will be no expectations for you to come away with resolutions, plans, or declarations of change. (Unless you actually want to.)
A limited amount of time to complete the program. One of the great things about this program is that there’s no such thing as getting behind. The emails may come to you every-other morning (US eastern time) for 20 days, but you can take as long as you like to explore the content. There’s no judgement, and no pressure to “keep up” with the emails, or complete every prompt. (We’ve had enough pressure this year anyway, haven’t we?)
This program is about using writing
to make some sense of this crazy-ass year …
and then begin to let it go so you can look forward
to the fresh start of possibility that a new year can bring.
And it’s just $69.

Easy peasy.
I wondered if I’d have the time to commit to a class during December, but I loved that in almost every email Deb would remind me that I could pick and choose which prompts to use. That really helped relieve some of my perfectionist tendencies to "do it all", I wound up working the program at my own pace, and I got so much out of it.

How it works
Make your payment through PayPal. (You don’t need a PayPal account; any credit or debit card will do.)
You’ll be sent to a secret page here on my website, where you’ll get some pre-program insights and suggestions.
You’ll get your first email on December 9th, complete with a link to a video message from me that will fill you in on ways you can approach the program, and your writing.
Every other day you’ll receive a new email with a mix of prompts, suggestions, and inspiration to help you take stock, make peace, and move forward.
Email me with questions, insights, and observations. Or not. Do it the way that works best for you.
On day 20, I’ll be hosting a bonus Zoom call. We’ll do a little release ceremony, then open the floor for Q&A, and some discussion too.
